FrankenFrame is built to be private by design. The app collects no data at all. It has no analytics, no accounts, no tracking, and never connects to the internet. It runs entirely on your Mac.

3. The FrankenFrame app
FrankenFrame draws composition grids on top of your screen. It does not record, capture or read your video, screen or window contents. It does not collect, store or transmit any personal data. All of your settings are stored locally on your device and never leave your Mac. Because the app makes no network connections, no data is ever sent to us or to any third party.
4. This website
This website is a static page. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads no third-party trackers; the font is self-hosted, so your browser does not contact any external server while viewing the pages. Like any website, our hosting provider may automatically process technical connection data (such as your IP address, date and time of the request, and browser type) in server log files. This is necessary to operate and secure the site and is based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use these logs to identify you.
5. Purchases
The free trial and the one-time purchase are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or process your payment details. Apple's processing of your data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
6. Contacting us
If you email us (for example via our support page), we process your email address and the content of your message solely to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. We keep such correspondence only for as long as needed to answer you and to comply with legal retention duties.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. Since the app itself holds no personal data, most requests will only concern any email correspondence you have sent us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or legal requirements. The current version is always available at this page.

Da die App keine Netzwerkverbindungen herstellt, werden keine Daten an uns oder an Dritte gesendet.

Diese Website ist eine statische Seite. Sie setzt keine Cookies, verwendet keine Analyse-Tools und lädt keine Tracker von Dritten; die Schrift ist selbst gehostet, sodass Ihr Browser beim Betrachten der Seiten keinen externen Server kontaktiert. Wie bei jeder Website kann unser Hosting-Anbieter technische Verbindungsdaten (z. B. IP-Adresse, Datum und Uhrzeit des Abrufs, Browsertyp) in Server-Logfiles automatisch verarbeiten. Wenn Sie uns eine E-Mail schreiben (z. B. über unsere Support-Seite), verarbeiten wir Ihre E-Mail-Adresse und den Inhalt Ihrer Nachricht ausschließlich zur Bearbeitung Ihres Anliegens. Rechtsgrundlage ist Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b und f DSGVO. Wir bewahren diese Korrespondenz nur so lange auf, wie es zur Beantwortung und zur Erfüllung gesetzlicher Aufbewahrungspflichten erforderlich ist.
